Wentworth & Fenn is a mobile bakery in a 1961 Shasta Camper. Gourmet baked goods, custom cakes, and artisans breads based out of Charlotte, NC. Directly inspired by Charleston, SC. Flavors and ideas for baking come from old school nostalgia. The owner and executive pastry chef, Samantha wants to bring the consumer back to flavors they knew as a child, but with an upscale appearance. Seasonal ideas and flavors help to bring her pastries to life.
Formally the executive pastry chef for The Fig Tree Restaurant, Samantha has opened Wentworth & Fenn with her wife, Cassie. Samantha was named ‘Best Pastry Chef’ in Charlotte, NC for 2017, she’s traveled to New York to cook at the legendary James Beard House, and she was nominated for ‘Best Pastry Chef of the East Coast Region’-James Beard Award in 2016. With the hopes of opening the brick and mortar one day, the Shasta will be peddling pastries all over the Charlotte and surrounding regions in the meantime.
Samantha also created an intimate pop-up market called ‘Artisans Market’. It is a market for pastry chefs and local artisans to showcase and sell what their companies represent. You can find Wentworth & Fenn there as well as Sweet Affairs, Craft Cakes, Chef Alyssas Kitchen, and La Piccola Gabbia to name a few!
Cassie, the other half of Wentworth & Fenn, is the brains behind the Shasta Camper remodel. Her vision has brought to life the storefront that will bring W&F pastries all over Charlotte. She currently works in one of the top custom car shops in the Charlotte/Concord area in addition to the bakery. In accordance to the camper, she will be head of marketing and branding for the company.
